DIRECTIONS  TO  HILLSIDE  COTTAGE

***(If you are using a GPS, once you turn on NC-226   please follow these directions. It is an easier route)

I-40  West  at Exit 86 (Spruce Pine, Marion, Bakersville)

Keep Right onto NC-226  (13.1 miles) 

Turn left (at light) to stay on  NC-226  (5.3 miles) 

Turn right to stay on NC-226  (4.7 miles)  DO NOT TAKE NC-226A 

Turn left onto US-19/NC-226  (0.8 miles) 

Turn right onto NC-226  (8.2 miles)    When you come into Bakersville , WATCH YOUR SPEED!   It drops quickly and they will write tickets…..

When you come to the light in Bakersville, continue going straight for 3.5 miles towards Roan Mountain on NC-261

You will come to a bridge,  turn left onto Fork Mountain Road

Go 1.9 miles

You will see a brick ranch style house on the left with a huge mowed field.  Start slowing down.  As you come around the curve , you will turn onto Rockdale Road.

Go 1.3 miles.  The house is on the left.  Look for a brick house right before a large barn.
